They are seeking an experienced EMEA Sustainability Lead/Programme Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability, with expertise in water, waste, and carbon management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading their sustainability efforts across the EMEA region, working closely with internal teams and external partners to drive meaningful change and achieve their sustainability goals.

Type: Remote hourly rate contract (inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies and initiatives for the EMEA region, with a focus on water, waste, and carbon reduction.
2. Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise sustainability opportunities and initiatives, including setting targets and KPIs.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability principles into business operations, processes, and decision-making.
4. Conduct regular assessments and audits to monitor progress towards sustainability targets and identify areas for improvement.
5. Provide guidance and support to regional teams on sustainability best practices and compliance requirements.
6. Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to sustainability, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
7. Prepare and present reports on sustainability performance and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of experience in sustainability management, with a focus on water, waste, and carbon reduction.
2. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.
3. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
5. Experience working in a global or multinational organisation preferred.
